Weekends and school holidays are expensive times and entertaining children isn't always fun. Britain offers a great many places where kids and adults can go free, generally countryside, wildlife and nature reserves, lakelands etc. The majority of public sector museums are also free. Be mindful though that despite free entry, car parking can up to £5.00 per car in some car parks, not taking into account those in major cities.

To add to the fun, consider leaving the car at home and look into buses, coaches, trains, river boats and canal boats. As an example a one and a half hour return trip on a narrowboat from Little Venice, Maida Vale to Camden Town market is only £22 for the whole family, it even travels through Regents Park Zoo and includes a tour guide full of interesting information about the canal history and life on a house boat.

There's no need to dine in expensive restaurants and cafes, take a picnic. They are a fraction of the cost, you can enjoy your favourite food and even take your pet! Keep checking here for freebies, free products, sample packs, puzzles and competitions.

South-east of England offers a wide range of visitor attractions to suit everyone. Major attractions in historic towns, cities, counties and regions include; London, Brighton, Cotswolds, Hastings, Oxford, Portsmouth, Tunbridge Wells etc.

CHILDREN GO FREE AND 20 PERCENT OFF FOR ADULTS THIS SUMMER
Have a fantastic, fun filled family break this summer with a DFDS Seaways Mini CruiseBreak, where the children go free and there’s a further 20 percent off for adults. It’s an undeniably good deal for big and small kids alike!

The Silverstone Classic - July 30 & 31, kids go free

Silverstone played host to the first post-war Grand Prix and historic racing has always played a part at the Home of British Motor Racing. The new Silverstone International Historic Festival will not only provide stunning racing, but also encapsulate the fine history of the sport.

A look at Formula 1 of yesteryear will come in the form of the FIA Thoroughbred Grand Prix Car Championship, pitching Williams, Brabham, Lotus, March and McLaren together again. Sports Car fans are catered for as well, as a grid of 1950s cars will also do battle. Add in historic Formula 2 and Formula 3 cars and action is guaranteed. And it isn’t just the cars - it is the sight and sound too. Stand at Woodcote corner and watch the Lister Jaguars drift through on opposite lock, marvel at the drivers working, visibly hard, at the wheel of their cars and prepare your eyes for a symphonic sound from engines covering many decades of motor racing.

And it’s not just about racing. There will be parades and displays on two and four wheels -even in the sky promising action and fun for everyone.
