Countless jokes and comedy sketches have been based on customers and sales people in high street furnishers. To those real-life furniture shoppers it is no joke. We seem to be dominated by multiple furniture retailers with branches in every town, and being dragged from one home furnisher to the net is not funny - especially when it all begins to look the same, and then the purchase is made at the very first furniture shop that was visited. Even a free car park for 'Car Poolers', the principle is simple; one drives to a car pool car park, meets the other car sharers and they all begin their car sharing journey to work !! I still have not moved more that 100 yards and I can't help thinking that even if each car shared with just one driver, this traffic jam would be halved, and the more people that shared a car, the shorter the line of cars - perhaps we would not even be in a traffic jam? The savings too in petrol and wear and tear must be massive - the flaw in the system was quite a big one, how do you find a compatible car sharer, after all sharing a car with someone who you don't get on with has its problems !! The concept is green, good for the planet and our bank balance.
